Kerry Johnson, the founder of Upstage Productions, has a distinguished reputation for his visual creativity and his practical approach to all creative requirements. His experience covers all aspects of advertising, marketing and film production. Established for over 20 years Upstage Productions has enjoyed continuing success in servicing local and national and international clients.
Kerry Johnson as Creative Director and DOP brings to any project a wealth of expertise, creativity and efficiency. He started his career as a graphic designer working in the advertising industry in both Sydney with John Singleton for 7 years and brisbane at Clemenger's for 5 years. He moved into the film production via copywriting, producing and photography. His combined skills in concept development, advertising principals and the production processes cover all areas of the media. Kerry has worked on numerous national and international campaigns. Recent work includes the International launch of the current model Honda accord, Choice Hotels Aust & NZ , Workforce Solutions Aust and NSW Tourism Port Stephens.
Over the years Kerry has come to know and work with the very best creative minds in the industry and has a fantastic backup crew to support him. He now provides and enjoys a full range of services from concept development to completion of the final project.
The development of new digital platforms has provided another area for Kerry to demonstrate his creative skills. Combining his natural creativity and his extensive knowledge of the Industry, Kerry provides a “value added” service for every client.

Gabrielle started her career in Television at the Seven Network, Brisbane and the Nine Network in Sydney. She moved to the The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). and established a lending and archival film library.
Gabrielle has been involved in the Television and Marketing industries for over 20 years. Her skills in customer service and her attention to detail combine to ensure a professional outcome to each project. Her knowledge and expertise of in TV and Marketing provides a unique ability to overview each project from a practical perspective. She can relate to Clients needs and can offer a realistic solutions to marketing problems.
As producer at Upstage, Gabrielle is heavily involved in each and every stage of the production which ensures the client of informative "one to one" dealings making all productions uncomplicated and hassle-free, an extremely important aspect of the complete service offered to Upstage clients. Her knowledge and customer friendly attitude make her an integral part of the team.
She has been producer for numerous award-winning productions including the 1998 "Colorado Shoes" television commercial, which was the winner of the "Chicago Mobius Award" and finalist at the "London Advertising Awards for TV Campaigns".
